Roatan Island has a wide variety of experiences when it comes to the night life, all depending upon your requirements. Since the island is now being rapidly recognized as a port of call, and cruise ships arriving all the time, prices have risen somewhat but nonetheless; restaurants and bars both cater to North American and European tourists as well as cruise passengers. Drinks and nightlife in Roatan Island is no longer a hard question or one that you need to research extensively. Nowadays the West End of Roatan is booming and most establishments can be found in or around there. The best part about drinking in the West End is the fact that there is a pub crawl that will occur every night.
It is virtually a tradition in this part of the island to start the evening at Sundowners and enjoy drinks with your companion(s) while watching the sun go down over the gorgeous horizon. Sundowner’s shuts down at 10p.m but the crowd then shifts to the ever famous Purple Turtle where live music can also be enjoyed. The Purple Turtle closes around midnight and yet again the crowd then moves to the Nova Bar or the Twisted Toucan’s where a full blown party is ongoing. Here most of the locals can be met and if you really feel like having an adventure then head on to FuBar with your friends.
Cool Beans Coffee House is an internet café, wine bar and lounge located on West Bay Beach Mall and serves coffee and cold beer, pastries, sandwiches, pizza, tapas and more in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with the smell of coffee brewing in the air and soothing Jazz tunes playing in the background.
